A complete enquiry saves a round of questions

The most common reason a quote does not arrive straight away is a missing detail. The dispatcher has to call back, ask about dimensions or wait while you check with the supplier how many pallets there will be. When everything is in the first message, we can approach carriers immediately and usually send an offer within 30 minutes.

What to put in the enquiry

  • Pickup and delivery address – full address with postcode and country; for industrial parks the gate or hall number helps.
  • Dates – when the goods are ready and the latest delivery date, and whether there is any flexibility.
  • Number and size of pallets – Euro pallets 120 × 80 cm, industrial 120 × 100 cm, or non-standard sizes and loose cargo.
  • Height and weight – height including goods, weight per piece and in total.
  • Stackability – whether anything can be placed on top. Non-stackable goods take more space.
  • Type of goods – a general description is enough; mention fragile or high-value items separately.
  • ADR or temperature control – UN number and class for dangerous goods, required temperature range for chilled cargo.
  • Warehouse hours – at both ends, including lunch breaks and whether a booked slot is required.
  • Loading method – dock, forklift, or whether a tail-lift or side loading is needed.
  • On-site contact – name and phone number at pickup and delivery.

For imports, add the reference or order number under which the supplier releases the goods; without it drivers are often turned away at the gate. If some details are missing, send the enquiry anyway and mark the gaps – we will fill them in together.

What happens after you send it

StageWhat we doWhat we need from you
Enquiry receivedCheck the details and ask if anything is unclear.A quick answer to follow-up questions.
QuoteCheck carrier capacity and send price and timing.Confirmation or a change of date.
OrderBook the vehicle and confirm carrier and plate number.Pass the details to your warehouse or supplier.
TransportMonitor loading, progress and arrival time.Tell us about changes at the warehouse.
CompletionProvide the signed CMR and invoicing details.Note any damage on the CMR at delivery.

If you only want to see whether a transport makes sense, start with the calculator. You can send the result as an enquiry, so the dispatcher already has the basics.

When dispatch is available

Dispatch works Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 18:00. Enquiries sent in the evening or at the weekend are handled first thing on the next working day. If you need loading on Monday, send the enquiry on Friday during the day, as Monday morning trucks are planned in advance.

If something changes during a transport, tell us as early as possible. A postponed delivery or a closed warehouse is cheaper to solve before the truck arrives.

Phone or written enquiry?

A call is good for checking quickly whether a date is realistic or for sorting out a change on a running job. For the order itself we recommend writing: addresses, dimensions and time windows are then on record and nothing gets lost when the job is passed to the carrier. Contact details are at the top of this page.
