Transport and import of goods from Eindhoven to the Czech Republic
Importing electronics, machine parts and precision components from Eindhoven to Czechia, plus exports back to Brabant. Pallets, full loads, express vans.

What typically travels from Eindhoven to Czechia
The Eindhoven area, often called the Brainport region, is built around research, engineering and precision manufacturing. Suppliers of semiconductor equipment, optics and sensors, contract machine shops and truck component makers all ship regularly to plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Consignments tend to be high in value rather than in volume, so careful handling matters more than squeezing in every cubic metre.
- electronic assemblies, circuit boards and control units
- machined parts and spare parts for production lines
- measuring instruments, optics and lab equipment in crates
- components for trucks and trailers
- lighting products and goods from distribution centres around Venlo and Tilburg
Going the other way, Czech castings, welded parts, plastic mouldings and cable harnesses are delivered to manufacturers in Brabant, which helps us find return loads and keep import schedules flexible.
Route and transit time
By road, Eindhoven to Prague is just under 900 km. The usual route crosses into Germany at Venlo and runs past Cologne, Frankfurt and Nuremberg to the Waidhaus/Rozvadov border, then along the D5 motorway. For northern Bohemia the truck goes via the Ruhr, Kassel and Dresden to the D8; for Moravia it continues on the D1 through Brno.
A single driver covers roughly 600–700 km per day under EU driving-time rules, so a full truckload collected in the morning is normally delivered on the second working day. Groupage pallets go through a cross-dock and usually take 3–5 working days.
Collection at science parks and industrial estates
Most shippers sit in modern business parks around the city and the airport, with docks and booked time slots. Please confirm with your supplier:
- the exact pick-up address, gate or dock number and dispatch hours
- dimensions and weight of each pallet or crate, and whether it can be stacked
- whether a tail lift is needed because there is no loading dock
Shock-sensitive equipment travels best on air-suspended trailers with proper load securing; for expensive machinery we recommend higher cargo insurance. Dutch city centres increasingly have low- and zero-emission zones for freight vehicles, which we take into account when choosing the vehicle for urban deliveries.
Choosing the service
For one to six pallets with a flexible deadline, pallet groupage is the economical choice. Half a trailer or more, non-stackable machinery or a fixed delivery date call for a dedicated truck. When a production line is waiting for a part, an express van drives non-stop and usually arrives the next day. Dangerous goods, such as certain process chemicals, are handed to ADR-certified carriers.
Rules on the road and paperwork
The Netherlands has no general weekend truck ban, but Germany does: vehicles over 7.5 t may not drive on Sundays and public holidays, and in summer some Saturdays are restricted too. A Friday afternoon collection may therefore arrive on Monday. Distance-based truck tolls in Germany are included in our quote. As all three countries are in the EU, there is no customs clearance; the shipment needs a CMR consignment note and an invoice or delivery note, plus ADR documents for dangerous goods.
Getting a quote
Send us the pick-up and delivery addresses, number and size of pallets, weight and the date you need. Our dispatch team works Monday to Friday, 8:00–18:00, and a non-binding offer usually follows within 30 minutes. For an instant estimate use the freight calculator. Having the goods packed, labelled and announced at the dock before the truck arrives is the simplest way to avoid waiting time.

Yes, we book air-suspended trailers and proper load securing. For high-value goods we recommend additional cargo insurance.
Not in the Netherlands, but Germany bans trucks over 7.5 t on Sundays and public holidays, and on some summer Saturdays. We plan around this.
No, this is an intra-EU shipment. A CMR consignment note and an invoice or delivery note are sufficient.
From roughly half a trailer, for non-stackable machinery or for urgent deliveries. A direct run without reloading is also gentler on sensitive goods.
